Netanyahu To Choose Philadelphi Corridor Over Hostages? Hamas Attack Warning In 2023 “Bored” Bibi

Israeli PM Netanyahu clashed with his defence minister Yoav Gallant during the security cabinet meeting held on August 29. The meeting reportedly transformed into a shouting match during a discussion on the hostage deal.
The clash erupted after the Israeli defence minister opposed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal to maintain Israeli military presence n the Philadelphi Corridor.
Gallant is said to have opposed the move, telling ministers that Netanyahu’s decision “ties Israel’s hands” in the negotiations.
Netanyahu got mad, banged his hand on the table, and accused Gallant of lying, officials who were part of the meeting revealed.

Netanyahu has made it crystal clear that the lives of Israeli hostages aren't important to him and so it's hardly surprising they're of no value to Hamas now either. It must be very frustrating for the hostage families to know that Netanyahu has requested extra security for his own son over in Florida, and that it'll be payed for by Israeli taxpayers, which probably includes many of these families. As for reports that Netanyahu was warned about an attack earlier in 2023, I wonder if it was around the same time that his son fled (sorry, 'relocated') to the US!

Israel's control of the Philadelphia corridor is for blocking arma/ weapons supply to Hamas. This is for the existential survival of Israel as a nation, as well as preventing the continued existence of Hamas and it's attacks on Israel/Israeli people.

Holding on to the corridor makes sense. I don't think Hamas had any intention of releasing hostages even if Israel agreed on vacating the border with Egypt.

Giving Hamas control of the Philadelphia should be a non-starter. The terrorist regime only wants that so that its current leaders can flee to a safe haven or re-arm. All routes into/out of Gaza must be under control of Gaza until a regime that respects Israel’s sovereignty is put in place and has a grip on the region.
