HUNTING Properties in ROMANIA for a Subscriber

So... one of our followers sent me on a mission to find them a house in a very specific location. We got off to a bit of a slow start but in time things worked out OK. At the end of this video there's two houses on one plot for $40k, the houses are interesting and one was built in 1935 so I'm going to investigate more as the build quality looks good and I'm curious to know the story behind it now.

I'm quoting prices based on the owners first ask, those prices can be way high compared with what they'll accept when someone is ready to buy.

My concern with our country is that it might become like UK with house prices in about 10-20 years time so if people are planning to move, buy something now while it`s cheap . We are lucky, we live in UK but we have a house and a flat in Romania so we are not well off but we are ok .

Subscribed as of today 🙂 I was in Romania for 6 months last year and would love to visit and potentially planning on buying a property and live there. Im 5 years away from retirement but if all goes well and Im successful at looking getting a property in Romania it would be an adventure.

How open/transparent is the real estate in small localities? Or, is the local market for a locality often controlled by a few individuals?

You mentioned popping into the Primaria to learn what's going on. Is that always successful?
