Understand that this is a tourist town and the Season does not start until July. If you visit in May or June and you will find about half the shops closed. Also be prepared for seriously expensive parking in downtown Lake Geneva. At $5 per hour. Spending an afternoon at the beach or shopping can get pricy. We were just there and found that finding a parking kiosk to purchase a pass and then finding parking is challenging. It is a nice area but very expensive.
