letter to a dead friend | Tubbo's Theme | based on the events that took place in the Dream SMP

Your Tubbo.

Ever since Tubbo became President, I could only hope for the best in his administration. I'm a clear Tubbo apologist in The Exile Conflict, as I share his principles in leadership: 1) My loyalty to my friend ends when my loyalty to my country starts, and 2) Do not make decisions out of emotions, but with logic.
I also felt the pain on Tommy's side as he grew up with Tubbo on the server. Now Tubbo had a larger priority, the drift was inevitable. Tommy must go on his own pursuit.
I found it hard to write a Tubbo theme about his conflict with Tommy until the 16th of December. Distraught after Technoblade's escape, Tubbo tried to visit Tommy in Logstedshire. Hoping for a seemingly fine Tommy, he found craters and a tall pillar.
"Surely not."
Imagine this as Tubbo's eulogy for Tommy.

I realized that tubbo didn’t even defend himself in the song, just like how he would’ve act as his character. Him just blaming himself and regretting the things he did to tommy hurts more. Even if he said it was for the nation they build, he realized that it was their nation, his and tommy’s nation.

Tubbo’s “your tommy” compass is the last sign of his and tommy’s friendship, and after he finally visits tommy who is still in exile, he noticed tommy jumped off his last built cobblestone tower and died, after that he forgot about him and refocuses on the enemies of his country and only to failed to kill Technoblade because of Dream

Something I really find interesting is that when Tommy's pov sings "Everything will lead back to you" there are only some very soft harmonies in the background (at most 2 voices). Plus they're barely noticeable unless you wear headphones and are actively looking for them. In Tubbo's POV, there are really strong harmonies when that line is sung (I'd like to say 2-3+ voices).
And honestly all I could think of is how alone Tommy felt in exile, now that he didn't have Tubbo or any friends who understood him, while Tubbo was running a nation and had constant backup from advisors or just fellow friends. And the best part is that the final "Everything will lead back to you" in Tubbo's pov has no vocal harmony at all, seeing as he's now lost the friend which stood by him all along, and therefore feels alone. And all of that is a pretty neat detail I must say.

Woah I didn't realize. This is premiering at the same time as Kanaya's new song, which is about Tommy: same thumbnail, but pink instead of blue and with Tommy instead of Tubbo. That probably means they collabed! This is gonna be so good, I'm not sure I'm ready for the heartbreak.
(It's premeiring on Tubbo's bday, too, so that's cool).
