SSS in Kapi ragam 😍. This session was really helpful especially to review the peculiarities of Kapi, a raga with lots of different swara combinations. As Uma ma'am told, the avarohanam is not a fixed one and multiple combinations of swaras within the raga scale is possible. That is what makes this ragam much more beautiful with the occasional G3 as well. I appreciate Ram sir's question regarding G2 in Bhoopalam and Kapi. Definitely the swara combinations play a great role in making how a swara sounds. Bhoopalam doesn't have madhyamam and I feel in such ragas the G2 is much flatter.

Namaste Madamji, Your Lessons are very helpful to who acquire" Swarajhan" in music.Thank you Madamji.I have a doubt about" GMGMRgRS" Phrase used in this Kafi Ragam.I think this Prayogam is belongs "JaiJaiVanti "Raga in Hindustani Music .And Also listened in this Prayogam in JaiJaiVanti.I haven't heard this Prayogam in Kafi Ragam.
