This is by far the best one available. Purchased the kit in 2017 and I'm still importing old 8mm and VHS content without issue.

I just got mine and I can't wait to start working on my old tapes. But I have a question, are you happy with the video and audio quality?
People are recommending to use FireWire instead in order to get the top quality. The only problem is that the FireWire method is so complicated, specially if you have a "newer modern computer". Is the Elgato doing a good job with the overall quality?

I want to use it for doing movie reviews on YouTube…will it let you record clips or full movies from a Blu-ray player or even a vcr/tv…I hope so because I have one, now I gotta figure out how to use it. I’m old. And yes I subscribed!

I finally got some response when I removed the Digitnow video capture device and hooked up the Elgato. Now I’m stuck at No Signal on my Mac.

I've used one on my MAC (running Ventura) for a few months. It was great. Then all of a sudden NO video signal (but I do have the audio) I did not change the physical connections. I tried the coax (yellow) and it did not work as well as the S-VS connection and no video. I reinstalled the program and no luck. Any ideas? TIA
