We’ll keep the heavy security deployment - Army

The army says it will continue to deploy its troops in many parts of the country until security agencies are sure that elements planning post-election protests have been brought under control.

UPDF spokesperson Brig. Gen Flavia Byekwaso told journalists that several arrests have been made especially among youth gangs, which justifies the ongoing deployment.

She spoke at a security press briefing in Kampala.

Ali Mivule....UPDF has no army title of Brig. Gen. The rank of Brig. Gen. is found in the American army but not in the armies of former UK colonies. UPDF has Brigadier, Maj. Gen. etc...
