This is the best explanation of it. In America because we have hospice and palliative care people often get confused to what that means. I love the fact that Palliative care doesn’t just deal with body that seems impersonal no one wants to be treated like a number some want to still see compassion at the end a different type of care so this is be peaceful!

For a lot of people dying is a long and slow, frustrating and very sad process. We should open our hearts and practice a bit more compassion for people on this journey because we all have to face this journey one day too! 💗

Palliative care is only as good as the staff that implement it. Less than 2 weeks ago my mother died in a hospital in Western Australia after 5 days of pain, fear and immense suffering. The system failed her and I may never recover from the trauma of witnessing her totally avoidable, sustained and painful death.

This video might have been more convincing or it not that everyone that was spoken to was in a hospital and then at the end the woman says used to be called hospice.
