How to Make TigerMilk Boba Tea
There are many different ways to make TigerMilk Boba Tea and this is the way I make mine. This recipe makes two servings.
4 cups of milk
4 tea bags of black tea (the tea is optional)
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup boba
splash of heavy cream
If you are going to use the tea, you'll need to heat up the milk and steep the black tea and then allow the milk to fully cool down. If you just want to add milk without the tea you can skip this step. To a pot add in 1/4 cup of water and the brown sugar and allow sugar to melt into a thick syrup on medium heat. Turn off heat once syrup is thick. Cook boba according to package instruction and add rinsed bobas to brown sugar syrup, allow syrup to thicken again on medium heat. Once thicken take off heat. Add bobas and syrup to cups, getting the syrup in the sides. Add ice and then cold milk tea/milk and top off with heavy cream (you can also lightly beat the heavy cream if you desire). Enjoy!
