Here in Washington state there's the Northwest Time Trial Series. One of their categories is without TT bike or anything aero (no aero helmet, no skin suit, no clip-on bars, no disc wheels, no tri spokes, and not even an aero road bike). The category is appropriately named "Merckx".

Girvin Flexstem has a single pivot that made the handlebar rotate as it flexed. The new suspension stem has a parralelogram arm pair that does not rotate the bars as it flexes.

I would like to see the return of classically styled groupset (not black or grey!) But with modern day build quality and functionality. Shimano di2 wireless in brushed silver please!

I would like to see a comeback of aluminium polished groupsets like we had in the nineties.
I and i guess many more people are getting pretty tired of black carbon looking or dark anodized and painted components.

Banana seat bikes like my old Ross Barracuda! Or the Schwinn Orange Crate with shocks that actually work! Imagine, a modern drive train, carbon rims and frame, front rock shock, rear shock, electronic shifting to make the old 3-speed into a 27-speed. Not aero. Definitely gravel worthy. Optimized to do jumps off plywood ramps in the back yard or slow neighborhood street. That would be awesome!

I think Niner are missing a trick by not having a Tioga Disc Drive rear wheel on the gravel bikes. It also needs more purple bits.
