RATS! I missed this! The Daytrippers on Trail LOVE YOU!!! I am a first grade teacher in SC. I virtually hike my firsties. Last year we hiked Bama to Baxter. This year we are hiking the Eastern Continental Trail. I have a small version of the trail (greenery, tiny signs, little hostels, etc.) in my classroom. We put a tiny stuffed bat on our trail this year in honor of you. Ironically...the bat...is BLUE!!! So we LOVE it when you call yourself Blueberry Bat! Thank you so much for taking us along with you on your journey...and for keeping in touch now. I'm not sure how much YouTubers realize you guys become apart of our families...and we love, appreciate, and miss hearing from you. Keep fighting the good fight! We're cheering you on! I was a little late to start following your hike but I thought you were terrific. My girlfriend was slow to warm up to your style but . . . by the time you were in Vermont, she was wanting to meet up and help you out and hike with you, but we could never anticipate where you would be. She agreed that, of the dozen or so YouTube posters we followed, you were THE most impressive in how you grew on the trail and we were both anxious to watch each of your posts!! And we were shocked to learn that "that guy" told you about his unhappiness the night before your final summit - I won't share our terms for him!! You ROCK BadBat!! A badAss hiker for sure!! Hope you hike in the Whites again so we can join you (we have both hiked all NH 48 4, 000 foot summits in winter . . .

It’s great to see you in such good spirits. I’d love to see you snag a teaching job somewhere. I perceive you as a person who would be fantastic with kids. BTW, while in recovery from my heart attack, I was able to get caught up on the first 6 weeks of your hike. Now what do I do? Fortunately, Nahamsha is still posting content even though I know she’s home safe and sound. On that note, I’m going to the woods for a couple of miles. 😊
