Another excellent presentation. However, if one uses MACD as confirmation tool when both cross 0 then it can be helpful. Indicators as you mentioned are made from price and thus lag. The way indicators are usually taught likely will lose money as folks are looking for reversal. I did that for last 2 years and lost more than I made. Money is made in following and sticking to trends. I’d like to become your student - paid or not.

The upshot; do not use MACD or any other indicator as a buy-sell signal. No matter what, you have to do the hard yards on price action. No escaping that fact. Money doesn't grow on trees. Every time we make any money, we are basically eating into institutional profits. And that alone should tell us it ain't ever gonna be easy.
