Brother bought this TV two days ago, but we just cannot get the magic remote to pair with the TV. We have tried all the steps and managed to get the remote to work one time. The problem is that when you simultaneously hold down the back and home buttons for 5 seconds we do not get the blinking red lights. Pressing the select button simply results in a pairing failure message. The TV has the latest firmware but is useless without the remote. We have changed the batteries, removed the batteries, turned the tv on and off but nothing actually works. We cannot even select anything without the functioning select button. This has been a very frustrating experience so far. Great picture though :(
