How to Install Underlayment | Shingle Roof Install Guide

What do you put under shingles? The answer is underlayment. Underlayment is a necessary part of every roofing system. There is underlayment for tile, metal and shingle roofs, each serving the purpose of separating the roofing material from the plywood underneath. In this video, we’ll look at the process of underlayment installation on a shingle roof.

After watching about two dozen videos, your video is the first that 1.) doesn't spend a lot of time talking about stuff that isn't relevant to the video and 2.) explains why you're overlapping, nailing, etc the way that you are.
