Making Litmus Paper

I discovered my 8th grade science class is out of litmus paper just as we are poised to begin a section on acids and bases. It seemed like a good time to introduce some more kitchen chemistry.

You made nice, faint, cabbage pH sensitive paper strips, but please don't call it litmus paper, which is from an entirely different "plant". Litmus is extracted from a lichen, that is not related at all to cabbage. I was misled by your video title while searching how to extract litmus pigment. I suggest you change your video title not to mislead other viewers. Thank you.

You could put it in a blender instead of cutting everything yourself
