Thanks for giving A Girl Called Eel a boost - and for reading that opening page so beautifully. Hope you liked the book.

Normally I'm not one for comments like that, but your outfit is phenomenal!

Just that short excerpt you read from A Girl Called Eel has already hooked me in. I wish I could read French now, just to be able to appreciate the book in its original language. Also, I couldn't tear my eyes away from the Salt on Your Tongue cover. Gorgeous. Would love to be a part of your giveaway, thanks for holding it!

Well life is full of surprises, not really a fan of grey and pink but you are perfect in this and the polar bear was the cherry on top. - It's always nice when once deeply held believes are utterly ruined.

I’m excited to see Franklin in Luna has been translated to German! I’m currently in Germany on a study abroad trip - I’m definitely reading less as a result, but I’m excited to put some of these books on my TBR for when I return home. Thank you for hosting this giveaway!

Jen, I bought and read The Beginning of the World in the Middle of the Night and loved it. The title story made me cry. From Margaret and Mary and the End of the World, “I remember when I was fourteen and I’d tried so hard to disappear”. That story, man.... Thanks for your stories, they were painful and joyful to read.

i'm a HUGE norse myth nerd and seeing you picking up the poetic edda has made me well chuffed 😸 if you enjoy it/want to know about it more in depth, i really recommend dr jackson crawford's videos on here, he does analysis videos of each poem (völuspá and þrymskviða are my favourites), he also has a modern translation of the poetic edda which is really excellent!
the morbid curiosities and the fairytale books sound right up my alley, and i really enjoyed bottled goods from the fairlight modern series so will definitely check out the ones you mentioned!
would love to be entered into the giveaway please 🥰 hope you're having a lovely day xx

Just discovered your channel Jen; so glad I have! Lost my reading and poetry mojo and realised how much I have missed it. I'm tempted by many of the titles mentioned; however definitely interested in the novellas. Would love to be lucky enough to win a copy of Rialto too. Thanks Jen have a good weekend.

Salt on Your Tongue is an intriguing book that I would like to read as soon as possible, Elif Shafak’s book sounds interesting as well, so far all books you have recommended are really captivating. So, thank you for your recommendations! And I am looking forward to read your own book The Girl Aquarium.
Have a nice week!

Oooh count me in for the giveaway, please! My Past is a Foreign Country sounds brilliant, and I'm also intrigued by A Girl Called Eel - the section you read out sounded beautiful but also brutal in a way. Love the dungarees! ♡

I haven't heard of Salt On Your Tongue or At The Wolf's Table, but they sound fantastic. I recently got a copy of the Edda (mine is part of Penguin's Legends from the Ancient North series, beautiful editions!) and it's on my TBR, but I might have to move it up the list. I'd love to enter your giveaway for the Rialto. You mentioned it for years and I'm very intrigued.
