- Step 1: Remove the boots from the boot cloth, then remove the internal packaging, keeping it for later use.

- Step 2: Undo the zip on both boots, making sure the packaging is removed from the foot.

- Step 3: Slip your foot into the opened boot.

- Step 4: Take hold of the zip D-ring, pulling up by the D-ring itself, to avoid putting too much pressure on the tassel itself.

- Step 5: Zip the boot up as far as it will go.

- Step 6: If the boot feels tight, take hold of the rear part of the boot (with the elastic panels) with one hand, pulling round to draw the zips together.

- Step 7: Whilst holding the rear of the boot with one hand, pull the zip up with the other hand, pulling by way of the D-link to avoid putting too much pressure on the tassel itself.

- Step 8: Repeat the process, working up the boot as necessary, until the zip reaches the top.

- Step 9: The boot may feel tight initially in the calf, as the elastic itself is contracting to give the best shape on the leg - walk around in the boots, allowing the suede and leather to stretch slightly, and to allow the elastic to loosen as much as each leg requires.

- Step 10: The elastic and suede will not overstretch, but will feel tight until after 1-2 wears.
