Thogdad is preaching facts. People spent their hard earnt money, travel to Germany, take vacations, just to watch a match so boring, that it developed medical benefits like curing insomnia. But England managed to win the group with their boring tactics, so at least there is reason to celebrate something.

As Slovenian I must tell you this: It was exactly the plan of our coach Matjaž Kek to get this draw, they wanted also to be on 3rd Place to get a place in the R16, which they reached. Because England now will get the Netherlands, while Denmark as 2nd getting Germany now. But Slovenia as 3rd now plays vs. Portugal (which we beat 2:0 in March) or the group winner of Belgium-Romania-Ukraine-Slovakia, where myself I fear just Belgium. That's why our team played in the 2nd Halftime "Cattenaccio". Btw your dad was right, my biggest fear was really Slovenia scoring too early, because it would wake up England and they destroy us then.
Now for us Slovenians it means soooo much to survive first time the group stage, like you have seen how they celebrated this draw. And this on our national holiday (25th June is Independence Day for us). Greetings from Slovenia and good luck for England in the knockout-stage 😊

I am proud for our small country Slovenija. We sufered at the moments and we deserved draw and go to 1/8 final. Unlucky was goal vs Serbija in 95 minut. We can be 1 in group now. England was very strong, but we defended good. BELINGHAM worth more then all Slovenija together. 🤣. 4 in the world vs 57. Good job guys. 1 time in history we go to last 16.
