for those who are confused, grian and many other minecraft youtubers have started a new smp called the double life (something like that) In which two people are soul bounded (health wise) so when one soulmate takes damage so does the other. Grian is paired up with Scar and throughout ep1 and ep2 he doesnt seem so happy about it and has even tried swapping soulmates. Scar half way through ep1 had no clue he was with Grian and Scott caught on when noticing both grian and scar took damage at the same time

He speedruns the stages of grief so that he can take care of the accident prone child he is now bound to through life and death :')

Based on Cleo's video, Scott knew at that point because Grian had already told him LMAO Grian's cut of the video made it very entertaining to think this was where he found out and just stared at him though

i like to interpret what happened after this interaction, how scott blowed his horn signaling like “r u and scar soulmates??” and grian blowed his back kinda saying “Yea but Scar doesn’t know it.”
