Italian Denim & Design
3 brands. 2 designer products. 1 common denominator: Denim
What does Dondup’s sustainable jeans collection and Busnelli's prized design pieces have in common: Candiani's premium denim fabric. Three Italian companies that made their product world famous through innovative aesthetics, smart engineering and a progressive approach towards sustainability.
Candiani Denim, the fabric of your favorite jeans since 1938, shows how premium denim today can be made, matching Ethics and Aesthetics without compromises. The constant strive for a more sustainable denim fabric has earned the company the name “The Greenest Mill in the Blue World”.
Dondup, a longstanding leading brand in the premium denim sector as well as a beacon of authenticity and modernity, presents the eco-sustainable project D/zero. For this jeans collection Dondup has created a series of low-impact washes to combine with Candaini’s denim fabrics, all 100% made in Italy. The result is a premium denim collection with a groundbreaking environmental benefit in terms of water, chemicals and energy savings.
Busnelli, a pioneer in furniture design that combines tradition and technology, craftsmanship and industrialization, exhibits its original design chairs from the 70’s such as the Fiocco armchair by Gianni Pareschi which earned its place in the permanent collection at MoMA New York. In the pursuit of combining design history, fashion and innovative textile engineering Busnelli presents the Fiocco and Armadillo chairs reinterpreted using Candiani's D/zero denim.
Find out how furniture design and fashion design meet denim within the frame of Italian innovation and sustainability.
