And Yes the way Alicent is in the book is definitely more cut throat and ruthless than the show. She was just as behind getting Aegon crowned and her father is here.

I have always theorized that Rheneryas children were not bastards, but instead inherited their grandmothers black hair. While the show is amazing, im bummed that they removed whole conspiracy. How tragic would it be, that her children where true born sons. Its Interesting how the Barathian black hair is how Joffrey was discovered to be a bastard, its a strong gene in competition with another strong gene (Targaryen silver hair) so its totally possible that it skips a generation from Lanor to his kids. ive just always assumed that this was a story of propaganda.

With the description of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the book, I don’t understand how the landed on Emma D’Arcy. I don’t find her overly charismatic or captivating. I think they could’ve done better. Especially after how well Emilia Clark played Daenerys Targaryen. Honestly, Emma D’Arcy is why I’m team Green. She’s a mediocre actress and really one dimensional. Not a fan.
