After living with the new iPhone 6 Plus for a while, Will sits down with Norm to discuss the merits of Apple's biggest smartphone. How well does iOS 8 work on a 5.5-inch screen? Does the stabilized camera and extra battery life matter? We compare the new iPhone models and help Will decide if he wants to stick with the Plus or return it.

I don't understand big phones like this, to me it seems too much like a compromise. It's too big to be used with one hand or to have comfortable in your pocket, so it doesn't really work as a phone. And it's too small to replace tablets or laptops.

I'm not a fan of apple produces in general. However I do give it to them in terms of design, their stuff looks good. But when it comes to this phone; am I the only one that thinks it doesn't even look that good? The rounded edge and the 2 lines on the back that aren't metal make it look cheap.

i looked at the 6+ at a store just for fun..it was the white phone, but the screen itself has a black boarder which looked unappealing...the sides of it felt a little too rounded as well

i didn't play with it too long, ..thought about seeing if it could bend but decided not to

My iphone4 gets put in my back pocket and sat on all the time. I was just mowed the yard today sitting on it. It is in a decent case though. The inability to use it one handed will push me to getting a regular 6. I really like the big screen for watching things, but at that point I'll just use a tablet.

Hey Tested, I am in the midst of trying out the iPhone 6 Plus with 10 days remaining on a Sprint receipt. I do Computer Animation so i'm looking for the best phone for video games, video sampling, and graphics... would you suggest I go with my iPhone 6 Plus or the Samsung Galaxy 6? I have watched an insane drop video where a guy runs over the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy 6 with a car and the S6 is ok if not a little cracked afterward and the iPhone is totalled. What would you suggest I do?

The back button in the upper left corner are not needed. Most apple and other apps support the back gesture! Swipe from left to right across the whole screen.

I have a nexus 5 and it's supposed to be as big as the iphone 6? Never anymore do I have any problems reaching anything with one hand. Does Will have really small hands? The nexus 5 is even slightly bigger it seems.

the messages app has a swipe feature to go back instead of tapping the button so you don't have to go back to the top

Okay I need help... I have an iPhone 4 but will be able to get a free upgrade to a new iPhone soon. This means I can get the iPhone 6 or 6Plus. I do not mind the big screen for the 6Plus and I don't need to worry about price. Spec wise, I do prefer the 6Plus. So basically I could get either so which one should I get?

What about the camerapumb on the back? When i first saw the phone that did catch my eye. Does it wobble when lying on a desk? I do that all the time when I stream music via bluetooth at home and navigate while the phone is lying on the desk.

Jsyk you can go back to previous menus and pages by swiping from left to right so you don't need to keep hitting that top left corner.

Will the Note 4 has the best display, then the 6+ is second.

You guys are wrong. Its actually not down scaled from iPad resolution. But it actually up-scaled from iPhone 5 or 5s display. I don't know where you got that information but its wrong. Apple even stated that they are using desktop quality up-scaling. So with desktop up-scaling and higher ppi of 326 it still going to look good but not sharp as its intended to.

On my 6+, rotating my device doesn't do the split screen ipad layout on mail or text messaging or anything like that.  Am I missing something in the settings somewhere?

Edit: Nevermind.  I discovered if you have the display in "zoomed mode", it removes tablet layout.
