Nasa’s Ingenuity helicopter makes historic first flight on Mars

Nasa successfully flew and landed a mini helicopter on Mars on April 19, 2021, achieving the first powered and controlled flight by an aircraft over the surface of another planet. Ingenuity rose to about three metres (10 feet), hovered and then landed. It managed almost 40 seconds of flight, overcoming the challenge of Mars’ extremely thin atmosphere. Nasa said the mission’s success paves the way for new modes of exploration on Mars and other destinations in outer space.

That's amazing! What a great achievement for mankind to make, actually making it to a whole different planet!
