BREAKING: The U.S. Coast Guard announces that debris found 1,600 feet away from the Titanic wreckage "is consistent with the catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber" of the Titan. “On behalf of the United States Coast Guard and the entire unified command, I offer my deepest condolences to the families,” said Rear Admiral John Mauger.

As a former Navy instructor who taught SUBSAFE work practices, I believe this was professional malpractice. Certifications cost money, cutting corners cost lives...

My thoughts and prayers to the families. I'm sincerely grateful for all the experts that came together to teach us about the challenges both private sector and military were working with to find the vessel. I read the full story. Ocean gate sub after 3 trips was losing buoyancy control to go as deep as they needed to reach the titanic. as a result the captain would manually force the ship down lower with thrusters which would make him lose communication with the land where he was being navigated. Previously happened he lost communication for previous trip for over an hour was lucky to make it back up.
so essentially captain took over manually to force the ship down and then lost communication and pitch black dark- did not know where he was driving he crashed, it imploded.

Damn...I had a bad feeling about this. My condolences to all the families. This is really sad and such a terrifying way to die. I can't imagine how scared all of them must have been. RIP to all of them 😔

At least they didn’t suffer and it was quick and done, not drawn out thinking they were going to suffocate to death. The Navy, Coast Guard, and all other agencies involved did their best throughout the week and remained optimistic and focused on a rescue response not a recovery, sadly their isn’t much to recover and their spirits will mingle with those lost on the Titanic.
Prayers to all the families and friends who lost their loved ones. This was so tragic and so sad. Thankfully the search is over, there are some answers, and the healing process can begin. 😔🙏

Sorry but those people died in vain. Risking your lives in pursuit of titanic remnants is possibly the stupidest thing to have done
