Lance Franklin 2017 Highlights

Lance Franklin had a fantastic 2017 season, winning the Coleman Medal for the 4th time and being an All-Australian for the 7th time. 'Buddy' finished with 73 goals and 60 behinds for the season, as well as leading the competition for score involvements (219, avg 9.1). His best haul for the year came in round 23, scoring 10 goals.

My wife became a footy fan three years ago when I tuned in to a Swans/Geelong match. Before the opening bounce players were shoving each other around and Buddy practically flattened one of the Cats. She started to giggle and has been hooked ever since. At first she didn't like Buddy because she thought he was a dirty player, but now she's in love. We hardly ever watch American football any more!

A good player yes... a great player no... he cannot take a pack mark or kick on his right foot and how many of his goals were from staged free kicks ?
