It's amazing the amount of depth that you created when you added the darks. I've always liked loose watercolors the most. That's because I've seen a lot of houses and streets like this and my brain fills in the blanks. I noticed that when I look at this painting I'm seeing every scene I've seen like this in my mind's eye as I look at it. I'm seeing my aunt's old house on the corner and the smoke coming from chimneys and hearing the sound of tires on gritty snow. Remarkable.

Saw this painting on your site. Just love it! You are so great with light & shadow but my goodness your colors are just amazing! Especially the very subtle ones like a street, a glass window on the side of a building that has a reflection on it, & on & on. Such intuitive color mixing!
