Ah, honestly with reviews like this, personally I'd really like to see:
- What the faculty specialisation looks like, and
- If there are courses that are particular to a university
For example (being in the WA region myself): Curtin is still the only university in the area that requires almost all of its first year programming courses to be familiar with the Linux terminal/shell. No other uni in the region does this. Might be an important piece of information for someone choosing CS, given that it seems to have the most rigorous program in the state. For math, UWA is the only uni that offers a unit on complex systems, and Curtin has literally no offerings for anything after calculus (like analysis, topology, measure theory, etc.) That's really the info. I wish I had. I know that's a fairly prohibitive thing to ask of one guy doing a review, but I really think this ought to be the fulcrum around which we are primarily comparing universities, rather than "campus", "uni-life", "exchange opportunities" that are prohibitive for financially struggling students, etc.

Hope im not too late to this video, but im in kinda of a unique dilemma

I had prepared for and applied to universities in US for MS in CS, but was only able to get admits from one of them, Northeastern University, also at their satellite Seattle Campus.

While prepping for the Visa interviews, a lot of my friends were applying to other countries taking in mind the political state of US. So i did too, applying to RMIT, Deakin, QUT for Masters in Information Technology program, and to UoW for Masters in Computer Science programme.
I didnt really think of it as much, as it was still a secondary option, and my focus was still on US. Now about a week before my visa interview, i have received admits from RMIT, Deakin and QUT, with scholarships that make the programs even a little bit less expensive than studying at Northeastern, atleast in terms of tuition fees.

And now im confused between going with my original plan, having done a lot of preparation, financial as well as mental, to study in the US, or change tracks, especially considering that RMIT is ranked higher than NEU, not taking into consideration that RMIT(city campus) will be a full campus, instead of NEU's smaller Seattle Campus
