That soft “you’re allowed” is so powerful because in the end that’s all we as queer people want. We just wanted permission to be what we are and not be punished for it. Thank you Chappell for your music, love, and energy. Thank you for taking the whole queer community to the top with you and for being LOUD about being queer and taking up space like we’ve always wanted to do.

that deep breath and brushing the hair back off your neck because your body is suddenly 80° hotter as you fight down tears is so real lol

The closest thing to feeling like a genuine church sermon was made for me. This is beautiful. This is love.

The only time I’ve seen you live was opening for Olivia Rodrigo. I felt seen and you didn’t even really talk that much. Being in your presence along with the community that Olivia and you created was so welcoming and fun. A couple of weeks later I went to my friends house and he has 2 dads. They were talking to me and asked if I liked Chappell roan. I said yes and they started talking about how much they loved you and how you’re their favorite and they love how much you’ve done for the queer community. I don’t think you’ll see this but if you do I just want you to know how thankful I am for you

15 years ago I saw lady gaga give a speech like this at a concert. it was the first time I felt understood. And now I'm 26 and crying over this 🥹 look at how far we've come.

It is hard to be queer. My most recent relationship was heavily impacted by where I live now, rural south, and the guy I liked was afraid to be himself here. It’s not the only reason we didn’t work, but it damn sure was a factor.

my partner and i never show physical affection in public. our dream is to go a chappell concert so we can finally just act like girlfriends in the real world.

it is hard to be queer. i'm a minor - and being surrounded by homophobic family has deeply stunted my tween and teen years. i'm always *worrying, * always planning for any little way they could find out, and hate me. it wouldn't be so bad if i was someone who was okay with upsetting my parents, okay with rebelling, but i don't have that bravery. being perfect for them felt like the only way i could ever get validation from them. and not fulfilling the image they have for me? it feels like a death sentence. and it's no hypothetical that i could be literally exiled from my family and abandoned to the streets. it happened to my aunt about 10 years ago. good thing was then she was already around 40, but anywhere from now to the age of 25 i cannot afford to be no contact with my family, having 0 support. once i get a psychology degree/doctorate, i'll be able to part from them. when i can support myself entirely without ever needing a ride, help getting my future car fixed, et cetera. and i know there is hope for that. but for now, i have to hide from everybody i love. i'm constantly lying to everybody for *survival.* it doesn't help to shape a young girls mind like this either. i wish i was straight so i wouldn't have the fear of my family abandoning me.

I love this girl so much. What I would have given to have her voice when I was young, confused, and scared

it’s so hard to be queer. i’ve been afraid for my life for many years. it’s a part of me i hate. i grieve the girl i can never be. my family will probably disown me, not just for being queer but also hiding a secret like this. they know they never actually knew me. i can’t tell if they’ll have any sympathy for me at all. maybe my mom but definitely not my dad. i know they’ll both be disappointed in me. i’m terrified but one day i will need to tell them. i can’t do it for years. i’m looking forward to be out of the house and feel safe for the first time in years. i will still be christian and i will find support somewhere but im not sure where it will be. i’m just scared and so sad this is my reality and so many other peoples reality. it really hurts every part of you to live like this. i wish i was different and in a different circumstance. i hope i can escape this…

You helped me fully realize things about myself when your album dropped last year and that it was okay if I was one thing, another thing or both simultaneously! It was okay to simply BE! Be me. I owe so much to you and hope I get the chance to see you live someday. ❤

despite knowing i was queer from day 1, i repressed it bc of child abuse and bullying. as recently as this year, reading the word lesbian, or seeing girls kiss each other, made my chest hurt with anxiety and pain. chappell, you have singlehandedly helped me dismantle all my repression, all my self hatred. all the bruises are fading now. i am so fucking blessed for you. and being brave enough to make us all brave. i love you. and i love all of you from the bottom of my heart. 😭🏳️‍🌈💕

I love this video so much –
These words resonate with me so much, I rewatch this video more than i'd like to admit - it's truly so comforting
Chappel's work has helped me become more in touch with my queerness, femininity, and sexuality. I'm nonbinary, but I do present femininely - I have no desire to get top surgery or go on T, I'm just me and I know I'm not the Target group for songs like Femininominon, but it still makes me feel so seen??so many of the experiences chappell talks about in her music resonate so deeply with me, I'm yapping but like aaa your work has helped me realize things about myself I didn't know, your music has created such a gay vibe that I've never experienced like . In music - I've been openly queer for a while, but I've never felt like I was in a fully safe space until I began listening to your music and interacting with other fans of your music, , Not to say other people ARENT accepting, but personally I've felt the most accepted here - It's beautiful to me not only that this space exists, but that it's so... Mainstream isn't the word, but popular?? Typically the general public (that I've seen) sweeps queer media under the rug - but I haven't seen a lot of that with chappel's music, Not to say that doesn't exist, I just haven't seen it - Of course that's the bare minimum, but when you're used to below the bare minimum, it's a lot (/pos)

Tldr cus I'm rambling -
Thank you Chappell for creating such an amazing queer space, I've found myself through your works, I hope to see you live!!! Never stop being the woman you are 🤍 you're such an inspiration for queer youth and queer elders alike - happy early pride 🌈 sorry for the wall of text 😭😭
