Since the release of the first film, I have gotten married and had kids. Seeing this in the theater with my wife and my parents, it moved me as a father of my own kids seeing Jake, a character I was first introduced to a year after graduating high school, having to put one of his own kids to rest. It was so powerful, I cried.
