Disney stock dropped after their Q3 earnings call, despite a small streaming profit. Why? The Disney theme park empire is in trouble, and the House of Mouse doesn't see it getting better anytime soon.

Raising park tickets to counterbalance your movie losses is not going to work. Having no IPs that anyone cares about does not let you raise prices

An interesting bit of history about Deadpool & Wolverine is that greenlighting it required a special exemption from Bob Chapek, because it ran afoul of Disney's rules regarding the sex, sexuality, and racial makeup of their entertainment products. Disney is not _allowed_ to have two straight white male leads headlining a movie under their current DEI rules. So you're 💯% right, they're not going to be able to repeat this one-time success until there are major changes at all levels of the company.

I’m squarely middle class. I can’t afford a weekend Disney park vacation for 3 in today’s economic climate. I am not their target audience apparently.

Families can go to other Theme Parks that aren’t woke for less. All without having to explain the man in a dress to the kids

I grew up being one of Disney’s biggest cheerleaders. As of now, Disney is no longer Disney. I can afford a Disney vacation but why pay the high costs when the customer experience has plummeted?

"Poor people can't afford our parks or streaming services.. How do we fix this?"

*RAISE THE PRICES.*

I love the idea of spending almost $200 to get into a park and then have to explain to my child why the hairy, middle-aged man is dressed up like a princess.

The average American family cannot afford a trip to Disney. Disney priced themselves right out of the average American household income.

Let the corporation rot. Disney has nothing to offer that I can't find a variation of at Six Flags or Cedar Fair. Woke garbage, let the pixie dusters admire what they've allowed Disney to become.

Disney could charge double, cut offerings in half and pixie dusters will still fanboy over whatever is available from the brand.

Gen Z doesn't care about ANYTHING Disney - it's not just the economy - it's demographics

How come no one mentions the intentional boycott of Disney? It's always "the economy" used to explain the drop in attendance. I, along with about 15 other friends and family, can easily afford to go, but choose not to. Surely we can't be the only people that fall into this category. If Bob Iger and all the other woke activists stepped down tomorrow, I'm sure park attendance would increase

Disney trips just arent feasible for most people. Then you have to have added passes on top of an expensive ticket? For old, beat up rides? With DEI filled hate? To sit in the hot Flordia sun in line all day? Why?

EPCOT was my favorite park for so many years. I first went there as a teenager in the early 80s and it was so cool. Now it's just a sad shadow of its former self.

Disney Corp suffers losses in Q3, so they are going to raise streaming prices, park admission prices, food prices, hotel prices, cut more services at the parks, less fireworks, less shows, close the restaurants and food kiosks, raise the prices of souvenirs. Disney: Why are the parks empty????

Then same corporate and company is calling their consumers all the slurs and curses they can think of. Don’t forget next movie that flops the reason is always “the bigoted men!”.

Disney's fate will be decided in the parks. Lowering the quality of the experience while raising prices will destroy them.

I don’t view having to be on my cell phone as a holiday. No thanks.

One of my friend and his wife used to be Disneyland hard core visitors. They buy and renew their annual passes each and every year. But on my last conversation with him, he told me, given the current state of the economy, they both decided not to renew their pass last year since it has gotten to expensive and this is not a necessity.

*Even worse, the Disney Co is pouring millions of $$ into lame makeovers of a Splash Mountain or a Communicore. They're also de-theming some of their hotels. SMH*
