The long held note was definitely live. I was laughing to death cause it's obvious Mariah didn't want to sing it live. It's a risk. I think there was a technical problem and the playback was cut off so she was forced to sing it live... and yet nailed it!!!

The face just proves what she has to put into her vocals. It's truly an instrument and it's ridiculous to expect her performances to be live 100%. Even if she could only do this type of live performance 1% of the time, she still has the most amazing voice. And why doesn't this performance get headlines? It's always if it's a little spotty.
