The Pawnee are a Plains Indian tribe originally from Nebraska. Known as fierce warriors and skilled farmers, they had a deep connection to the stars, with their religious ceremonies, like the Morning Star Ritual, reflecting this cosmic bond. Living in large, earth-covered lodges, the Pawnee played a significant role in the westward expansion of the U.S., forming alliances and facing challenges as settlers moved in.
