Douglas bumped his head while entering and kept constantly checking whether he bleeds or not so that it won't be visible in Welcome photograph! Just imagine your first photo in space and you are bleeding from forehead how badass is that!!!

bumped his head on the door, just like the storm trooper in Star wars.

Had the amazing opportunity to give my fair-wells to Bob and Doug while watching them launch off into space!!! (I did not actually meet them lol) We were right along the ocean by the Kennedy Space Center and WOW. I witnessed history before my eyes. So glad they had a great mission and that they are back on Earth 🌎

If you think it other way. These guys simply look like five drunken close friends. Trying to face parents

My question.. is how did they make all the mechanics to get the new shuttle in? I mean, a lot was autonomous meaning they had to install cameras and what not on the space station so.. I guess the guys currently there had to do all that? And what.. do they launch supplies up by themselves? I mean I’m genuinely curious lol

Just to be clear. He wasn't concerned about him being hurt other than that the blood can float out and short circuit things on the ISS. That's why it has to be dealt with directly. Blood doesn't fall to the ground since there is no gravity. It will just float around until it hits something or someone. That said, I'm sure he also wanted to look good in the photograph.
