Haha, this was just the video I need. I lost the stud/adjuster on my Dad's (RIP) old hacksaw long ago & now I need to use that hacksaw without having to buy a new one. Been looking for that wingnut stud for at least the past couple years now, though not in any hurry, but still would be nice to use that hacksaw anytime sooner than later. For the pin, I think spinning the nail in a drill & then lathing it to the correct diameter with the file might have been faster idk. I'm not sure about making a wingnut from scratch though, maybe I'll get lucky & find a fittable wingnut I already have. But it would be ironic if that lost original adjuster finally pops up after I make one of my own. Thanks for the tutorial.

I purchased the same hacksaw around 1977 -78 during my apprenticeship still have it in my work van, same colour although not a lot of paint left on it. Enjoyed the video keep them coming steve.
