(a) the resistance of a PN junction is low in forward bias because the majority carriers are attracted towards the junction, making it easier for current to flow. In reverse bias, the majority carriers are pushed away, creating a wider depletion region and higher resistance.😊🔌
(b)the reason we need to dope intrinsic semiconductors is to introduce impurities that can alter their electrical properties. By adding impurities, we can create either p-type or n-type semiconductors, which are essential for building electronic devices like transistors. Doping allows us to control the conductivity and make the semiconductor more suitable for specific applications. It's like giving the semiconductor a little boost to do its job better! ⚡️
