Shimano GRX Group set OFFICIAL REVIEW
Показать описание
Is the GRX Groupset worth the money and should you upgrade?
Features:
Levers:
Unique lever design with tall/wide hoods for easy grip
Shimano powerful braking
Wide lever face for comfort
Lever travel stops half way with good solid braking (no mush)
Love the two lever design for shifting
Flat mount calipers are AREO and weigh less than post mount or IS
Rear derailleur:
Clutch mech is dope
Sits closer to the frame to protect from trail debris
Serviceable jockey wheels
Max cassette size per Shimano is 34 tooth (REDDIT says 40 tooth max size)
Cassette: 11-34. Nothing special
Chainring
2 by system with a 30-46. Great for lower end gearing without much sacrifice on top end speed
Front Derailleur: Nothing special
Cost: Varies greatly but approximately $770 for the entire setup
Performance: See video for footage. Works great. I think it would be cool if Shimano made this with an 11-36. It has enough gear range for me but some people might want a larger cassette in the rear if they aren't strong climbers or want to do touring.
Final Thoughts:
If you want better braking, just get the brake set.
If you want the clutch mech and better off road performance, go for the rear derailleur.
If you want better gearing, get the GRX 812 rear derailleur good for an 11-42, upgrade your cassette, chain, and front chain ring.
If you want all the these advantages, upgrade to the whole set. You won't regret it.
