First look: Faber-Castell Basic Black Leather

Picked up a Faber-Castell Basic with Medium nib today at a local pen store. In the video, I take a quick look at the pen, ink it up with some KWZ Iron Gall Blue/Black, and do a quick writing sample. Beautiful pen. Writes great. Overall, very happy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pen or purchase one as a gift for someone else.

I too prefer the look and feel of the Basic in leather. It is comfortable to hold in the hand because the transition from the body and the grip section is smooth. In addition, I think that Faber Castell offer some of the best steel nibs on the market. The only shortfall I found is the cap. It feels relatively cheap and does not post deeply enough for me.
