The release of Spider-Man: No Way Home saw Charlie Cox make a crowd-pleasing cameo with Matt Murdock as the lawyer of Peter Parker (Tom Holland). Meanwhile, the release of Disney+'s Hawkeye series featured Vincent D'Onofrio returning as Wilson Fisk, now using a cane. While this could be a tease of Fisk's signature weapon, the Disintegrator Cane, his MCU future might help explain his adoption of such a weapon.

D'Onofrio also wants Fisk to meet Spider-Man, and the Kingpin certainly has plenty of comic book history with the Web-Slinger. Though the Kingpin is typically viewed primarily as Daredevil's arch-nemesis in modern times, he's still a frequent Spidey villain, too. Should Fisk's cane be revealed as his Disintegrator Cane in his hypothetical Spider-Man 4 appearance, his presence in the film can explain the Kingpin's newfound use of such high-tech weaponry. In the Kingpin's early days as Spider-Man's villain in the comics, it wasn't uncommon for him to utilize devices like the Disintegrator Cane. Fisk's evolution as a character gradually began to downplay this side of him, with greater emphasis on his crime boss machinations and vast physical strength. Fisk meeting Spidey would give the MCU the perfect reason to flip that, with the Kingpin using the Disintegrator Cane to stand his ground against superhuman opponents. With Peter Parker's new status quo in life, a Spidey-Fisk confrontation might've been set up by No Way Home, as well.
