Gunshots interrupt youth baseball game in California!

Police are seeking the public’s help identifying an unknown suspect who fired shots near a sports park in San Marcos, Calif., during a children’s baseball game on Monday.

A surveillance video released by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office shows children playing baseball at Mission Sports Park on the 900 block of Bailey Court in San Marcos shortly before 8 p.m. Monday.

The audio captures a sound that may be gunfire, and a “projectile” can be seen striking the field between the pitcher’s mound and first base.

Deputies responded to the scene after receiving reports that someone discharged a firearm nearby, but they could not find anyone who had been shot or hurt, the sheriff’s department said.

Police are asking anyone with information or additional video of the incident to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
