The Anthropocene: Humans Have Officially Created a New Geological Epoch: Futurism Originals

Scientists recently declared that humanity's impact on the planet is so significant that Earth has officially entered a new era.

They assert that the Holocene is giving way to the Anthropocene, a
geological era defined by nuclear tests, plastic pollution, and humanity's leavings.

Although the message is deeply sad. It's also kind of a comforting message. Earth has been in trouble a few times already and given enough time it will heal itself. That's a beautiful thought. Anyway. We did really fuck up... :(

This is more like an extinction event in the Holocene than a new epoch. Even the term Holocene is quite pretentious noting that it begins only 12k years ago. The previous epoch, the pleistocene began 2.5M years ago. Note that 1000k = 1M.

An unbalanced world:

The minerals and stone being moved to build cities and artificial islands. Dams diverting natural rivers. Mega climate from cities. Fossil fuels leaving massive void in the bottom of the oceans. 🌎⚖️

Human civilization has come a long way in terms of building infrastructure and meeting the needs of the growing population. However, this progress comes at the cost of the environment. To build cities and artificial islands, minerals and stone are extracted from forests, mountains and rivers, causing an imbalance in the ecosystem. The excavation of minerals results in deforestation and soil degradation, affecting the flora and fauna of the region. This in turn leads to a loss of biodiversity, which is a critical aspect of the natural environment.

The damming of rivers for hydroelectric power generation and to maintain a stable water supply for agriculture and urbanization also significantly impacts the environment. Dams disrupt the natural flow of watercourses, affecting the habitats of aquatic life and hindering the natural process of sedimentation. This interference with natural watercourses can lead to the loss of wetlands and wildlife that depend on the delicate ecosystem of rivers.

The urbanization of cities results in the development of large megacities, which emit greenhouse gases in the form of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. These gases contribute to the warming of the planet and contribute to climate change. The heat generated from the buildings in the city causes a phenomenon known as the urban heat island effect- the temperature in megacities rises significantly making it difficult for humans and wildlife to cope with the heat. The urbanization and industrialization of the population also lead to a decrease in air quality in these cities, leading to respiratory illness and other health complications.

The use of fossil fuels to power industries and transportation contributes to a significant amount of the carbon dioxide emissions. These emissions not only lead to the warming of the planet but also result in the depletion of natural resources. The burning of fossil fuels creates a significant void in the bottom of the oceans that can lead to landslides, earthquakes, and tsunamis.

The unbalanced development of cities and artificial islands, the damming of rivers, and the use of fossil fuels have had a significant impact on the natural environment. The increasing urbanization and industrialization of the population contribute to the depletion of natural resources, climate change, and the degradation of the natural ecosystem. The need of the hour is to balance sustainable development and minimize environmental degradation to mitigate the damage done to the planet.

The unbalanced development and exploitation of natural resources have led to significant impacts on the global rotation and balance of multiple aspects of the earth. The extraction of minerals and stone from the earth's crust has resulted in the redistribution of mass across various regions, causing changes in the earth's rotation. The mass redistribution caused by the excavation of materials for construction of buildings, dams, and artificial islands have contributed to changes in the earth's gravity field, resulting in a slight variation in the earth's rotation. Construction of large dams for irrigation and hydroelectric power has been known to alter the balance of the earth's rotation. The weight of the water impounded behind the large structures has been shown to slow down the earth's rotation. As the amount of water in the reservoir changes with the seasons, this causes slight variations in the earth's rotation.

The extraction and use of fossil fuels has a significant impact on the earth's rotation. Burning of fossil fuels causes the earth's temperature to increase, which leads to the melting of glaciers and the expansion of water volume in the oceans. The melting of the glaciers contributes to a decrease in the earth's surface mass, which also leads to changes in the planet's rotation. Furthermore, the mining of fossil fuels necessitates the excavation of the earth's crust, which can also contribute to changes in the earth's gravity and rotation. The unbalanced exploitation of natural resources affects the earth's rotation and balance in multiple ways, leading to variations in the gravitational pull and distribution of mass across different regions. These impacts, in turn, can contribute to severe environmental consequences, such as global climate change, weather patterns and severe natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis.

Hahaha. There will be no one to read or write history books, so....

Oh, noes. Bad humans. What do you expect from me, futurism? To add to the deluge of misanthropist comments and hate myself? Fuck that. I'm human and I'm not ashamed of it. We will fix what ails this world, even if that means fixing ourselves.

Now where's the anthropocene extinction? I'm waiting dear Mother. End us already, and put yourself out of your misery.

Maybee we would gratefy ourself at being the cause of mass extinction this time around... And maybee mass extinction only started occuring alongside emergence of the Pinetrees as a lifeform... What uf in a very long natural cicle this specefic vegetal form covers all the ground changing the PH of the soil... the coincidental impact on the oceabs could be tracable backward as they really caused all the mass extinction and we might just be trying to reassure ourselves that by changing our consumer habits we coukd change anything about the fate oof biosphere as we know it. Our batural habitat wont support mammals indefinetly anyway... 🫤
