A friend of mine had this single. Seeing it on the turntable with the Logo label going around and around takes me back to the late 70’s when we used to review records around at his mum’s house once a week. I also remember the cover of the record, thanks so much for including both sides of it. If anything I prefer the album version of this song as it runs longer but either way it’s a hidden gem unknown to many people, pre-eclipsed by Toast I think everyone expected more of the same and not genuinely good original music from genuinely good musicians. I had no idea Jools Holland played keyboards on this.

A year or so ago I managed to get this played by one of the dj’s on Caroline… perhaps the first airplay of this record since 1979 and quite possibly the first ever on that station.

Thanks for posting and stirring up some memories.

Fronted by a certain Mr. Paul Young. I used to go to see this band at The Golden Lion in Fulham Broadway way back. Must have been about '77/'78. Off to make some toast now.
