Thank you for this video! The manual that comes with the device was pretty much useless, but thanks to you video I managed to get it to to work. My car was not reacting at all when I plugged it in. I have an Android phone and therefore I have CarPlay deactivated. After seeing you connect it to you car via CarPlay I activated that and voila, it connected and so far everything seems to be working just fine.

Just from watching this video I can tell that having a touch screen for this ottocast makes a world of difference...I've got a relatively modern MB which is supposed to be a Premium car yet there is no touch screen and even though I have never found it to be an issue, I did struggle when using this otto cast as navigating the interface is a right chore, especially when I have to type in anything like Wifi password or other login detail. It is just a pain, and for the first time I wished my infotainment system has a touch screen :(

Got this a few weeks ago for $60 on Ebay. I was able to use up to 256Gbyte stick holding mp4 movies and mp3 audio. Won't play AC3 or DTS so you would need to reencode those. After an hour, the little box does get very hot but it's worth the $60 for all the features it has.

Quick one, are you able to do a screen mirror from your phone to the Otto cast? Seeing there is no Android Store to download more apps, being able to mirror screen from phone will be priceless

I bought one of these from AliExpress, it's OK but why is it connecting as Apple CarPlay even though my phone is an S22 Ultra? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Totally scam but bought the newest Ottocast Picasso not connecting to the car whatever I done. Resetting it company hardly responded to my emails. Cost £270 for nothing

Please DON'T buy this item. Total waste of your money. The display resolution of your factory OEM CarPlay or Android Auto will be much less than the OEM. Also, the unit gets very high temperatures which is quite dangerous for having it in any glove box. Better stay away from the OTTOCAST company that does not follow their returns policy. They are just losers.
