And remember the reason "to catch a predator" went off air is because they were finding to many public officials and theres still an active investigation on a police department from the show.

Sometimes the predators they caught were guys with a mental disability and/or mental health problems, but a surprising amount were basically normal guys with families and respectable jobs that you wouldn’t expect to be doing stuff like that. Teachers, veterans, firefighters, personal trainers, etc.

The only ones I feel slightly bad for are the ones who have sever mental problems and who aren’t all there so to speak. What they’re doing is still horribly wrong but they don’t have full mental capacity to realize what they’re doing fully.

They cut out the explicit chat logs to make it tv friendly but if you read the chat logs or even hear the phone calls, you’ll never feel bad for one of these monsters

Fun fact, several of the people they "caught" were also released because the show wasn't official law enforcement. A lot of what they did was considered entrapment, where their people initiated the conversations with the "predators" and thus a link between them and the acts they allegedly wanted to commit, couldn't be proven. Just like how in the 70's the FBI mailed a certain kind of magazine to a man until he ordered some himself, and then arrested him for it. If the police send you cocaine, they can't arrest you for possession.
