We’ve all been there bro. You’re going to have to raise the prices and outsource. Once you get a good team you’ll be set. As freelancers we make our money filming not editing. Blocking off time for editing you will make less money than outsourcing editing and taking more projects. Most of us don’t charge the client enough for post production though.

Burnout is real…and that’s the part about it when it comes to freelance work that most people forget about. Glad you acknowledged and found a rhythm to work around it and not hate your work. Good video

"The less you do, the more you can do."

I've learned to delegate my work having really good videographers and editors help me with my projects, unless the budget won't allow it.

Having a family, and a business where you have to do everything, that's the best advice I've used.

Great channel ✊🏾Continue to be successful!

Thanks bro for posting this video. I just had a 7 day shoot, two different clients. The hardest part is finding the time and energy to unpack your gear and then planning the editing afterwards...

I can totally relate.
"Always say yes to work" is a scarcity mindset that has it's time.
There is a point though, where you have to learn to decline work while maintaining relationships.
I would add "sleep".
Getting work done on sufficient sleep is like a productivity cheat-code.

Feel this bro. It’s easy to consume ourselves in work in fear of not getting the next job.

It’s also hard to trust other people with our clients, gear, edits, shoots, etc. Leading us to do it all.

Nice to find your channel. I've had that "burning out" feeling before with filming weddings. That "Covid Shutdown" saved me. I was really starting to not like the grind of video work for all and more of the factors you mentioned. The weddings slowed down and I took that as a sign to take the approach you are talking about. I never want to feel burnout with the things I love doing.

This resonates with me. Good topic to talk about 🙌

I wish I was as busy as you are now with your business. I don’t have half the clients you have. I wish I had multiple shoots back to back like that.. keep going!! Love the crazy busy days, love the mindset you have of being burned out!! Love all the mindsets!! I will never hate this.. taking a break is a must. We must learn to love it all. Especially if this was a beginning goal to become full time!

Bro im sitting in the same seat man, on the edge. Every thing you just spoke on is me, gotta talk myself off the ledge every week. I would love to just sit and talk with you. I've never seen some one so on the same page with me...crazy. It was like sitting with an AI avatar thats saying the things on my mind back to me.

You are real man. I hope you build a production company and where you got people working for you. Essentially you become the contractor/broker. :)

Really valuable content I’ve been watching almost all your recent videos and find a lot of value specially with getting clients. And the Real Estate marketing/Media.

As someone who is a better person when im busy, But there is a fine line for sure 4 in a day is wayyyy too much do I still do it yes absolutely however I know what the pay rates are for AD TV and I think its just coming down to price for myself personally. ADTV isn't something I would do when I have normal work load it's something I would do in January or February. Def. make time for you and what makes you happy without a computer or a camera! happy grind and happy shooting fam! I'll leave you with a quote I have been seeing lately. Don't get overwhelmed with a lot on your plate when the goal was to eat . Thanks for being real man!

What I've learn in my career as a Cinematographer/DP. The power of "NO" is great. Sounds like you need to expand and build a crew.

The vibe is still fire bro! I said this before.

Yeah bro it’s been almost a year since my last client project. It’s always cool when you’re hustling toward it but it’s when you’re in the back end just over it!😂💀

Have been watching your channel, the problem I see is the lower prices. Lower prices get you the job, but it’s not sustainable. And the more budget, the more help you get

I burnt out like a month ago and had to take less clients this month to try and reset.
