Little Dragon Studios: INTO THE WILD

After two and a half long years, its finally here! Please enjoy our fan adaptation of Warriors: Into the Wild.

We're a team of over 50 independent artists, animators, voice actors, 3D modelers and more working to create a fan-made 3D adaptation of Erin Hunter's Warriors series! Our series is a passion project; we are not profiting off of our Warriors work, meaning that it is being created solely for the enjoyment of the team and Warriors fans everywhere. We are not affiliated with the Erin Hunter team.

Hi everyone, Kaida here! I have some good news, and bad news.

Before that, however, I wanted to let everyone know about a few upcoming videos we have planned:
April 8th: Into the Wild OST
April 15th: Behind the Scenes, Bloopers, and Technical Goofs
April 22nd: A surprise!

Little Dragon Studios will no longer be producing episodes of Into the Wild. Over the past few months, we have been in discussions with the official Warrior Cats team. Due to updates in their FAQ and fanart guidelines, they have asked that we avoid animating any further storylines that are direct adaptations from the books/series of Warrior Cats which means going forward we will cease production on Into the Wild. They explained that if a video or series of video clips/episodes sets out to tell a significant part of the exact stories from the books then there is a chance they may be removed, as this oversteps into copyright infringement. However, they were generous enough to allow us to share all the hard work that we had done on this episode with you. We hope you enjoyed the episode! (Unfortunately the episode does end on a cliffhanger, so if you want to know what happens next you can read the book!)

The good news is that this is not the end of Little Dragon Studios. We will be moving on to new things, creating original stories and animations! A few ideas are in the works, but nothing is far enough along that we can share just yet. Stay tuned over the next few months to find out!

I’d like to thank all of you for being so patient with us as we produced Into the Wild. It was an incredible experience to work with such a talented team. Despite not being able to continue, it gave us exactly what we came here to do: learn, grow, and most importantly, have fun doing so. Here’s to a bright future!

I wish for once a company would see projects like this and instead of instantly hitting the lawyer button, would actually go “You know what you guys obviously love the stories and are huge fans. Let’s work on a project together.” There needs to be a difference between passion work and cash in work.

The fact that they actually have different body/face shapes is honestly stunning, I’m so used to everyone having the same ‘generic cat’ shape so to see the effort of giving them actual details that suit their personalities is amazing

It really sucks that copyright laws are stopping this kind of animation. The warriors community have always wanted something like this and honestly it would have been so awesome to see all the characters I loved in the books brought into a movie. I really wish they stopped trying to squeeze new books out of a series that died a long time ago and bring to life what the community actually wants.

The past 3 years of production on this has been the best experience of my life. I have met so many amazing and talented people in the studio and I have learned so many cool new talents. The amount of love that went into this cannot be measured, and I hope everyone enjoys this. Kaida has to be one of the best people I've ever met, and creating this studio for us is something I will forever be grateful to her for. I cannot wait to continue working with the studio for as long as our creativity flows, and develop a bigger family within Little Dragon Studios. Love ya'll, we did amazing!

Yknow, this brings me back to the days of SSS Warrior Cats. I’m however pretty disappointed in the warrior cats team for blocking off such a dedicated, amazing project. As somebody with experience animating (though I’m more of a 2D animator) I understand how long this must have taken, and the dedication everyone must have put forward. The artists of this fandom never cease to amaze.

I’ve waited too many years to see a perfect Warriors adaptation, and I’ve finally found it. This is absolutely beautiful. Stunning character designs, voice acting, animation, shading, camera angles, and everything else. This is definitely something I’ll watch again :)
