About the coordination of roadworks, I remember that in the village where I grew up they dug up the streets repeatedly to install gas pipes, TV cables, fibreglass, district heating, then electric wiring had to be renewed, I think there was something with the fresh water and waste water too, and they always made a new road cover on it, that new black asphalt strip at the side of the street that you sometimes see. Until next year they find another reason to dig it all up again. I wish they had thought it out a little better in advance and maybe the telecom, energy provider etc. would have talked to each other.
