To the senator of Oregon... I think you really should be trying to solve actual problems instead of trying to stir one up. Minorities are in the 70-80% range of in favor of Voter ID laws.

How is it that Vt. passed a law that allows non citizens to vote supposedly in "local elections"? with only a green card. NYC had a similar law under the last mayor all you needed was proof you lived there for a month and a green card. I did not see the gov. going after them even though it is unconstitutional. In his state people can vote at age 16 and drop ballots into drop boxes. Youcan register online with or w/e ID, What country would do that.

What is so restrictive about making it harder to cheat, and easier to vote?

Why not just majority rules with no parties and being as such harder to divide ....and I'm still tripping about 1890 and republicans defending black America against democrats .. Where are you now?

Persuasive argument. Not sure Federalizing our elections is the answer, but I like the idea of making them debate to fill up the cloture time. The beauty of the U.S. is there is 50 states and 50 laboratories for democracy. If people dislike the lack of freedoms in those states they will leave. People vote with their feet the competition of good/bad policies will show up in the electoral college numbers. Have a little faith Senator. Those don't look like swing states. They look like all the red states. Curious why you want to have a hand in how they run their elections..
