🔌🔌This is already outdated. The new CATL/Tesla Lithium Iron Phosphate battery (LFP/LIFEPO4 ) plant is being built in North America. The energy density will equal the present-day cobalt batteries {NMC} that are now 100% recyclable. The Lithium used to produce these batteries will most likely come from California's Salton Sea in 2025. By 2026 the world's largest supply of Lithium will be mined at the Thacket mine in Nevada. At the same time, the oil refineries will continue to use 5 to 6%% of the world's production of cobalt to remove sulfur during the refining process. How much electrical power would be available to the utility grid if all refineries in the USA were shut down tomorrow?🔌🔌
