Ford Anglia - This or a Morris Minor?

A friend had one, his 1st car. He rolled it over one dark night, but it still drove home, with both screens on our laps. Over the weekend, it was stripped entirely, and shelled into a 105e van, plus a brush paint. He ran the van for years after, he was a plant fitter. Happy days!

Fond memories of the Minor and it would be a great starter classic, but Anglias are a bit rarer here (they weren’t rare at all back in the day)… so yes, that Anglia - first job is give it back its proper wheels and chrome hubcaps. Second job, get those bumpers returned to chrome! Third … or maybe second - return suspension to something nearer stock ! Unless … maybe… if there’s a BDA hiding under the bonnet. Then, I’ll need a new piece of paper.

Anglia was my first proper car after a Reliant cost £75 it was a rusty wreak but me and my mates travelled all over the country in it and made some of my best memories

Now that's a hard choice the Anglia has more of a 50's American vibe going on with it's styling particularly with it's tailfins which I like. But the Morris is oh so british .... Oh can I have both.

I like both, but I've run Fords for a long time and the Anglia gets my vote.

Anglia everytime, like a Minor, but the Anglia is my all time favourite and I have one. Obviously a modified Anglia, but certainly not ruined lol.

Was the Anglia the Ford car that had its wipers linked to the accelerator so you had to speed up to get them to go faster. What genius dreamt that stupid idea up?

Definitely the Anglia, not because They're good but because the Morris Minor is so awful. Even worse than a Bettle
