The way I interpret this is that Daniel Ceasar’s character is ignored by his family and they wouldn’t notice if he went away. They blew a birthday cake over his dead body. Omar’s character was put under a MRI machine to try and understand the issues, and the brain scan was cool too - when he said my brain on 2CP. So that resulted in them having to isolate their romance to the loneliness of the desert and even then they’re still wearing masks in fear of being seen for who they truly are. I also thought that intro of them as little, innocent children playing with toys in the alleyway speaks to how we all come into the world - precious and perfect, which continues, until our parents or home see us differently. I love this whole concept and it’s so beautifully done. I’m a big fan!!!

Jesus. Our boy is moving at warped speed. I can’t think of another artist who I’ve seen, progress in terms of talent and range so rapidly. It’s insane how much thought goes into every one of his projects. They could easily take 3x as long to execute. This is so layered and raw and nuanced. Im here for the full embrace of sexuality in this video. No hesitation, no quiet shame or suppressed feelings. & the fact that he’s conceptualizing the videos as well, demands more credit. It takes genuine artistry, depth and vulnerability to bring a visual to life that tells a story and cuts to the core of the viewer. He’ll be directing his own projects in no time. Gah i could keep going but i shan’t. So lastly- I think he’s going to be one of the most prolific queer artists of this generation & thank god I’m alive for ittt. I think the fanbases are generally really similar too which is nice to see likeminded people collide every time they collab.
